Site Captain Success Programs

What Are Site Captain Success Programs

Site Captain Success Programs are special activities and efforts of Meridian360 to help ensure the initial and ongoing success of all Site Captains across the program.  You are the ‘make it or break it’ folks in our program – you are the ones actually working with students on a day to day basis, answering questions, rendering aid, modeling success, and building the community.  We did not choose you as a Site Captain willy-nilly, and we are not going to leave you on your own to sink or swim.  Each one of our Site Captain Success Programs is specifically designed to optimize all of your opportunities for success.  Some of the Programs are available to all of our Site Captains, and some of them are available to only Tier 1 and Tier 2 Site Captains because of the additional duties and obligations they have embraced.

Detailed Explanation of Site Captain Success Programs

Below are additional details for the Site Captain Success Programs.

Hosting a class is a serious responsibility, and can be quite daunting if you don’t know what you are doing.  So our aim is to make sure you know exactly what you are doing.  Then it won’t be daunting.  Can’t argue with that logic, can you?

All new Site Captains get private training on class hosting and how to make it successful.  There are a lot of moving parts involved in it, and you’ll get guidance on:

  • Pre-class logistics
  • Day-of-class logistics
  • After-class logistics
  • Classroom management
  • Effective use of space
  • Audio/visual processes and procedures
  • Class evaluation forms and class certificates
  • Tips, tricks, what works and what does not work
  • Managing difficult scenarios

Periodically, we will have updates sessions where will introduce new ideas and concepts that we have found to be helpful, especially given the distributed nature of our teaching environment.  And you are always welcome to reach out and ask questions at any time.

This service is available to all students at any Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 Site Captains.

For some folks, being able to get out in the community and share a message is natural for them and even enjoyable.  For other folks, it might seem like cruel and unusual punishment.

Rest assured we don’t want you fretting over it. In fact, we know that it works best when you are excited and eager to do it.  For that reason, we have focused on coming up with ways to help you get there if needed.  We’ve also come up with guidance on how you can actually do it.  Understand though that it’s not just a ‘one size fits all’ situation.  You are unique.  Your community is unique.  What might work great in one community may not fly in another.  This is where your discernment and wisdom will guide you in what is needed.  We will provide you ideas, possibilities, tools, and info on how to market, blog, develop testimonials, give presentations, and network.  And between the both of us, we can do it right.

This service is available to all Tier 1 or Tier 2 Site Captains.

One of the things I have come to learn is that I don’t know what I don’t know.  So, the only way I can figure that out is when someone who knows it, tells me.

Our Director Mentoring Program does just this.

You will schedule times with the Director or a Senior Council Member, during which you can perform a full session with a non-student client.  These may be live or web meetings.  The Director or Senior Council Member will actively observe and provide real-time 1-on-1 mentoring during the session.  Examples of mentoring may include guidance, counsel, and ideas about your work, options of things you could do differently, areas where you could dig deeper for more core stresses, techniques which you might be doing incorrectly, etc.  At no time will the Director or Senior Council Member step in and take over – you have the helm and will do all the actual work with the client.

You are only able to do this every six months, and are responsible for finding your own client and securing their permission for your private mentoring session.

If you want more mentoring time, the Director or Senior Council member can provide you rates for additional sessions of private mentoring.

This service is available to all Tier 1 or Tier 2 Site Captains.

Some of the best learning experiences I’ve ever had occurred outside of any class where I just got to sit and watch a more experienced practitioner then me work.  There is knowledge, wisdom, and perspective you can learn through these types of experiences that you just simply cannot capture in a classroom setting.

Our Director Shadowing Program gives every Site Captain the opportunity to experience this at least once every six months.  The Director or Senior Council Members will coordinate small groups of 1-3 Site Captains to attend and observe actual live client work they perform.  During this work, the Director or Senior Council Member will provide running commentary about the session and everything going through their mind as they work including information on

  • Session stages like issue and goals, setup, balancing, correction, etc.
  • Progression though the session.
  • Techniques used, how they unfold, blend, and/or deviate.
  • Intuition experienced.
  • Energies felt.
  • Emotional processing and the unfolding of the client story.

The session will likely include work in excess of your knowledge, but that’s OK because the emphasis isn’t going to be on teaching you new material.  It will simply acknowledge it with a light over-view and how it relates to what is being done.

The Director  or Senior Council member will jointly decide with you when shadowing will provide you the best benefit based on your particular skills and understanding.  It is important that shadowing not be done too early, nor delayed excessively.

Please understand that ultimately the focus is still on the best interests of the client on the table.  The client will have provided approval in advance that they are OK with this, but they and have the right to change their mind at any time throughout the session should the session go into an area the client is not comfortable with.  If the client decides they want the shadows to leave at any time, you will be expected to step out, but you will be allowed another full session to shadow.

This service is available to all Tier 1 or Tier 2 Site Captains.

Part of serving as a Site Captain entails being able to understand the modalities that are taught throughout the program and the ins-and-outs of all the different classes.  Once you’ve taken all of them, that will be easy-peasy, but until then it may pose more of an issue.  Our In-Depth Curriculum Exposure Program is designed to help you be able to understand the different modalities, all the classes that exist in them, and how they fit together.

Regularly scheduled web meetings will be set up where the Director or a Senior Council member will provide a brief 15-30 minute overview for each class taught within the program.  The class material itself will not be taught, and no manuals or documents will be distributed.  In the meeting, the Director or Senior Council member will provide an overview of the class, its value, strengths, limitations, ability to fit into other work, etc., and will share a desktop so they can “page” though the manual as running commentary is provided.  This detail will allow you to see what the class includes, the material taught, and how the class fits into the larger picture so that you can talk to your Site students about it.

This service is available to all Tier 1 or Tier 2 Site Captains.

Don’t worry – every leader in their community has had the experience where they needed help immediately with something.  And some of us have had it more than once – just saying.  Could be anything like:

  • Overwhelm with the role, obligations, and duties that go along with it
  • Struggling with self-confidence
  • Discomfort or lack of effective public speaking or one-on-one communication skills
  • Inability to master a practitioner skill so you can help others
  • Time management

No matter what the issue is, we recognize the need to be able to deal with it in a timely way.  These challenges can shut you down if left to linger and none of us can afford that.

One of the perks to our Site Captains is that we provide a professional courtesy and bump you to the front of the line.  You will get priority access to schedule Site Captain-related sessions with the Director or Senior Council members.  Just let us know and we will get on it.

This service is available to all Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 Site Captains.

Congrats!  Now you are a Site Captain.

…But help…I have a question!

Don’t worry.  Once you become a Site Captain, we do not leave you on your own.  You are welcome to reach out to any of your fellow Site Captains, a member of the Senior Council, or the Director at any point, but we also have regularly scheduled Site Captain Success Boards to help you out.

You will get to have 1-on-1 time with the Director and Senior Council where we collaborate on:

  • Your previous accomplishments and future goals.
  • Thoughts and ideas on what help, training, and guidance we can provide to boost your success as a Site Captain.
  • New ideas that may benefit the overall success of the Meridian360 program.
  • Innovative or successful methods, ideas, and strategies used during classes that may be shared with other Site Captains.
  • In addition, we will have lots of ad-hoc coaching that takes places as needed.

If this sounds pretty cool, we agree.  To our knowledge, there is nothing else like this in the Energy Kinesiology field!
